Watch: St. Louis Rams rookie Todd Gurley meets the media

St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley met with the media following Tuesday's practice.

ST. LOUIS — Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley met with reporters following practice on Tuesday.

He spoke about the newest addition to the Rams' roster, Wes Welker, as well as what Adrian Peterson said to him at the end of Sunday's 21-18 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

“Yeah I watched him," Gurley said of Welker. "It was just funny because me and Benny (Cunningham) were talking about him last week and then next thing you know, Chase (Reynolds) sent a text and was like, ‘Hey Benny, Wes Welker’s in here.’ I thought he was lying, but he was actually in here.”

“We were like, ‘Man, where’s Wes Welker at?’ And next thing you know, he’s here now,” Gurley added.

Gurley and Peterson met on the field after Peterson and the Vikings pulled out the overtime win.

"Just him telling me nice meeting me, good job and keep it up," Gurley said, "and that he’ll be in touch.”
