St. Louis Rams Officially Eliminated From Playoff Race

The St. Louis Rams haven't made the playoffs since 2004 and will now have to wait another year to break that streak.

What seemed like a certainty following the St. Louis Rams' five-game losing streak became official on Sunday — the team has been eliminated from playoff contention.

The Rams (6-8) have not made the playoffs since 2004, the last full season with Mike Martz as head coach.

On Sunday, they were eliminated after the Seattle Seahawks beat the Cleveland Browns and the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears

The Rams, who haven’t had a winning season since going 12-4 in 2003, will face several questions this offseason about the leadership of the team going forward — coach Jeff Fisher has one year remaining on his contract — as well as who will be the quarterback in 2016 and what will happen with their multitude of free agents.

Oh, yeah, and that whole thing about where the team will be playing next season.
