More Accolades For Rams' DT Aaron Donald, P Johnny Hekker

Two Los Angeles Rams, defensive tackle Aaron Donald and punter Johnny Hekker, earned some recognition from the Pro Football Writers of America on Monday.

Aaron Donald and Johnny Hekker picked up some additional accolades on Monday.

The Los Angeles Rams duo were selected for the Pro Football Writers of America All-NFL team as well as the PFWA’s All-NFC team.

Donald and Hekker, who will represent the Rams in the 2016 Pro Bowl along with rookie running back Todd Gurley, were previously selected for the Associated Press All-Pro first team.

Donald, a second-year defensive tackle, earned the PWFA honor for the first time after racking up 11 sacks, becoming just the third defensive tackle in franchise history to reach double digits in sacks.

Hekker, the Rams’ punter, is now a three-time PFWA All-NFC team selection. He has been recognized three times with AP All-Pro honors, including twice (2013, 2015) landing on the first team. He led the NFL this season in punts (96), gross punting average (47.9), net punting average (43.7) and punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line (41).
