Very few receivers could pull off running a 4.6 forty-yard dash on Pro Day and still be considered a lock for a first round selection in the NFL Draft. Fortunately for Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell, he is one such individual. The 6-foot-2, 221-pound prospect is considered by most experts to be the most complete receiver in the Draft by a substantial margin and the Rams are in need of a receiver. In fact, many experts have the Rams selecting Treadwell with the No. 15 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft.
Of course, that only works if Treadwell is there for the Rams to take at No. 15 and his abilities could tempt another team into drafting him before the Rams get their chance. There is a reasonable chance Treadwell will still be around at No. 15 for the Rams and LA Rams Report wanted to explore that possibility in-depth. Ben Garrett of Ole Miss Spirit, Scout's home for Ole Miss athletics, has covered the Rebels extensively for many years and Treadwell's entire Ole Miss career. Garrett agreed to talk to LA Rams Report about Treadwell as a potential Ram.
Garrett opines on Treadwell's leadership on and off the field. The guys discuss the physical attributes Treadwell brings to the table and why he is the most NFL-ready receiver available for selection. Additionally, Josh asks Ben to discuss what drives Treadwell to be the best he can be and just how difficult of a decision it was for him to leave Ole Miss and enter the NFL Draft. For good measure, Josh and Ben also beat the 40-yard dash discussion into verbal submission, explaining why a 4.6 might not mean much for a guy like Treadwell.
