The early line has the Ravens as 9 point underdogs next week. I bet none of the "experts" on TV pick the Ravens to win next week. I think it's our Superbowl game. If they beat Denver, I believe they'll win the rest of their games.
Hopefully joe will step it up this time... If not, at least we weren't one and done... Go ravens ...... Hopefully, it will be a close and hard fought game,.., proud of the ravens either way ... They did a lot better then I expected this year....,
If Flacco can play like he did in the 2nd half with Pierce and Rice (holding onto the football) running well we can beat those guys. Defense needs to keep Manning to 3s instead of 7, Jacoby needs to be Jacoby, and offense can't have their 1-2 quarter disapearing act.
1) We can't leave points off the board with turnovers in the red zone like today and last time vs. Denver 2) We have to reduce the penalties; and 3) We need to tackle better! It's maddening seeing RB's that should be down for a loss or no gain squirm out and then carry guys with them for 3 and 4 extras yards.
On paper they're supposedly better than us so maybe we shouldn't be surprised if we lose, but guess what. This time around we're a different offense and a healthier defense.
Manning burned Ed Reed bad last game, Reed undercut a sideline route that Eric Decker took 51 yards to the house. IF Ed really wants to fool Manning, play disciplined football, Peyton will never expect it.
The Real Ravens have been impressive the last two games they have played. Indy beat a Houston team playing for home field and then they got torched yesterday. Nobody is giving us a chance, but I think we gonna shock the world...
Last I checked folks, the Broncos players put their pants on one leg at a time just like any other team. If the Ravens play their game, they can beat those guys. I will never be "Steelerish like" and blame anything on injuries; however, I would love to see how this game unfolds now that we have all of our guys back. That game in Baltimore against the Broncos, we had no Lewis, Pollard, McPhee, and I think Ngata was out or only played sparingly. All the Ravens can do is control what they can and that is executing well on offense and hitting anything that moves on defense. At the end of the day, if the Broncos are still a little bit better than the Ravens, well you simply tip your hat to them and congratulate the Ravens on a good season.
I can't believe I'm saying this after what I was feeling about 6 weeks ago..but I like where our teams at. I like the re-shuffled line. I love the way Pierce is running and he should be fresh. Our O weapons are as strong as they have ever been in this 5 year stretch. Young guys on the defense are stepping up, older guys know this may be the last ride for them too. I think it's time Flacco takes that next step.
Hoping for some snow Saturday afternoon in Denver.
