BALTIMORE RAVENS' REPORT CARD

Quarterback: B-plus Joe Flacco rebounded in a major way, finding his targets, beating blitzes and not throwing an interception after a career-high four picks last week. He completed 22 of 31 passes for 262 yards, three touchdowns and a 128.7 passer rating, the second highest of his career

Running back: B

Ray Rice was on his way to a strong game before he sprained his knee, rushing for 80 yards on 15 carries. The Ravens don't seem to think it's serious. In relief of Rice, Willis McGahee gained 29 yards on seven carries.

Receiver: A

Anquan Boldin caught three touchdowns on eight receptions for 142 yards, averaging 17.8 yards per catch. Todd Heap contributed a key third-down reception, catching four passes for 46 yards while being targeted five times.

Offensive line: B

Joe Flacco was never sacked and was only hit twice. He had sufficient time this week to pick out his targets after being under heavy duress last week. The Browns sent a lot of blitzes at Baltimore, but the line picked it up. The running game got cranked up at times, but Cam Cameron didn't stick with that grind-it-out style.

Defensive line: D-plus

They got some solid penetration occasionally, but had trouble containing Seneca Wallace. He completed 18 of 24 passes for one touchdown. The Ravens got pushed around far too much at the line of scrimmage.

Linebacker: D-plus

This was a substandard game, according to the usually high standards of this group. Peyton Hillis ran roughshod over Ray Lewis, rushing for 144 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries. Lewis was also beaten for a long reception by Ben Watson. Terrell Suggs had eight tackles and a sack.

Secondary: C

They had to cover too long as Seneca Wallace consistently bought himself more time to find an open receiver. He only averaged five yards per pass attempt. The tackling in run support was suspect.

Special teams: A

Pro Bowl return man Josh Cribbs had zero yards on one punt return with the other two kicked out of bounds. He averaged 23.5 yards on two kickoff returns with Billy Cundiff booting three touchbacks. Cundiff also made a 49-yard field goal. Sam Koch averaged 48.7 yards per punt, including a long of 60 yards. Tom Zbikowski averaged 12.5 yards per punt return. Jalen Parmele averaged 21.4 yards per kickoff return. -- Aaron Wilson
