Quarterback: B-plus Joe Flacco definitely outdueled Chad Henne, his fellow rookie class member. Flacco completed 20 of 27 passes for two touchdowns and no interceptions for a 129.6 quarterback rating. Flacco endured four sacks, but didn't seem fazed by pressure. He made several accurate throws and displayed excellent touch on the swing passes

Running back: A

Ray Rice had a multi-dimensional performance, rushing for 83 yards on 22 carries and catching seven passes for 97 yards. Willis McGahee caught a 32-yard touchdown on a halfback screen, also rushing for 24 yards. Pro Bowl fullback Le'Ron McClain won his confrontations with mouthy Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder.

Receiver: C-plus

The running backs did most of the work. Derrick Mason was the leader among the wide receivers with four catches for 42 yards. T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught two passes for 34 yards and Anquan Boldin caught two passes for 28 yards with tight end Todd Heap contributed two catches for 23 yards. Ray Rice was the leading receiver with seven receptions for 97 yards. The downfield blocking was good.

Offensive line: B-minus

Joe Flacco was sacked four times. Dolphins outside linebacker Cameron Wake was relentless, recording eight tackles, two sacks, three tackles for losses and two quarterback hits. It was a rough day for right tackle Marshal Yanda, who was selected to Sports Illustrated's midseason All-Pro team. Ben Grubbs had a great lead block on Willis McGahee's touchdown catch.

Defensive line: B

Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata recorded another sack, four tackles, one tackle for a loss and two quarterback hits. Young players like Terrence Cody and Paul Kruger had quiet games.

Linebacker: C-plus

Terrell Suggs registered a sack and two tackles for losses. Ray Lewis led the Ravens with eight tackles, but also missed some tackles and got blocked on a touchdown run Jarret Johnson had just one tackle, but it was for a loss. Tavares Gooden got back into the nickel package on third downs. Ronnie Brown rushed for 59 yards, but gained almost all of them on the Dolphins' first drive.

Secondary: B

They contained Dolphins star wide receiver Brandon Marshall, limiting him to five catches for 30 yards. The Dolphins only averaged 10.5 yards per reception. The Ravens picked off Chad Henne three times, including interceptions from Ed Reed, Lardarius Webb and Josh Wilson. He completed 22 of 34 passes for 231 yards and no touchdowns for a 47.5 rating.

Special teams: B

Sam Koch completed a fake punt pass to Cary Williams for a first down. Billy Cundiff hit four field goals, but missed one attempt. The Ravens also had a aborted field goal attempt on a botched hold from Koch. David Reed returned two kickoffs for 44 yards, averaging 22 yards. Lardarius Webb had a 10-yard punt return. The Ravens never punted.
