Baltimore Ravens' report card

Quarterback: B-minus Joe Flacco overcame an ugly interception early in the game where he hesitated and stared down T.J. Houshmandzadeh. He completed 25 of 35 passes for 289 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for a 103.2 quarterback rating, doing most of his damage by halftime. He cooled off considerably in the second half.

Running back: B-minus

Ray Rice was bottled up for most of the game, but finished strong to gain 85 yards on 20 carries. He had a long touchdown nullified by a questionable penalty on Anquan Boldin. He caught seven passes for 47 yards. Willis McGahee gained just nine yards on three carries. Pro Bowl fullback Le'Ron McClain left the game with a sprained ankle that could affect him for the Pittsburgh game.

Receiver: B-minus

One week after his sideline flap with Joe Flacco, Derrick Mason caught a game-high eight passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Todd Heap ran away from linebacker Barrett Ruud for a 65-yard touchdown. Heap caught two passes for 79 yards.

Offensive line: C-plus

Joe Flacco was sacked four times with one attributable to a missed block by Ray Rice. Left tackle Michael Oher left the game with a sprained knee, but said he thinks he'll be able to play next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marshal Yanda got beat badly by Gerald McCoy for one of the sacks. The run blocking was mediocre for most of the game.

Defensive line: C-plus

They did a good job of harassing quarterback Josh Freeman. He completed only 17 of 37 passes for 162 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. He wasn't sacked and rushed for 27 yards on six carries, but it could have been much worse.

Linebacker: C-plus

The Ravens contained bruising rookie running back LeGarrette Blount, limiting him to 55 yards on 13 carries. All-Pro middle linebacker Ray Lewis recorded a game-high 12 tackles. Jarret Johnson provided some pass rush on third downs and registered 10 tackles. It was another quiet game for Jameel McClain.

Secondary: B

They did a nice job against a good young quarterback with a strong arm. Against a talented receiving corps, they allowed only one touchdown pass to Kellen Winslow. Rookie standout Mike Williams only caught two passes for 20 yards despite being targeted seven times. Cornerback Chris Carr's steadiness is a major asset.

Special teams: C-plus

Sam Koch averaged 43.6 yards per punt. David Reed averaged 25 yards per kickoff return. Lardarius Webb had a 15-yard punt return. They did allow a 37-yard kickoff return. Billy Cundiff hit a 45-yard field goal and had two touchbac
