Baltimore Ravens Reportcard

Quarterback: C-plus Joe Flacco managed the game well as the Ravens only threw six passes after halftime. His top throw was a pretty spiral for a touchdown to T.J. Houshmandzadeh. He also short-armed an interception to Joe Haden. Flacco completed 12 of 19 passes for 102 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for a 90.2 passer rating.

Running back: B-minus

The Ravens grinded out 161 rushing yards on 38 carries, averaging 4.2 yards per rush. Ray Rice gained 92 yards on 25 carries. It was a workmanlike performance. Willis McGahee and Le'Ron McClain combined for 53 yards on 10 carries.

Receiver: C-plus

With tight end Todd Heap out with a pulled hamstring and the conditions cold and blustery, the Ravens only tried to throw to receivers and tight ends 16 times, completing 10 for 97 yards and two scores. They did what was asked of them. Both Derrick Mason and T.J. Houshmanzadeh's touchdowns were impressive.

Offensive line: B-minus

Joe Flacco had plenty of time to throw. He was only sacked once. The backs had room to operate against a big Browns front seven. The Browns only generated two quarterback hits and one tackle for a loss. His pocket presence was good, too. Flacco rushed for 16 yards on three carries.

Defensive line: B

Colt McCoy was never sacked, but was pressured enough that he threw three interceptions. The Browns averaged just 3.9 yards per carry. They got very little traction running up the middle.

Linebacker: B

Peyton Hills rushed for only 35 yards on 12 carries after gaining a career-high 144 yards against the Ravens earlier this season. He had nowhere to go most of the time.

Secondary: B

They intercepted Colt McCoy three times, including two by free safety Ed Reed. Reed has six interceptions this season. Lardarius Webb picked off McCoy once. Chris Carr misplayed the ball on a trick play as Mohamed Massaquoi hit fellow wide receiver Brian Robiskie for a 29-yard touchdown catch. They took advantage of a rookie, baiting him into miscues.

Special teams: B-minus

Billy Cundiff connected on field goal from 27 and 40 yards in windy conditions. Pro Bowl kick returner Josh Cribbs was held to 8.5 yards per punt return and 25.2 yards per kickoff return. Sam Koch averaged 45.7 yards per punt with a long of 50 yards and one downed inside the 20-yard line. With David Reed out with a concussion, there was essentially no return game to speak of from Jalen Parmele and Lardarius Webb.
