Ravens sign wide receiver Brandon Jones

OWINGS MILLS -- The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran free agent wide receiver Brandon Jones, according to team officials. Jones, 28, didn't play last season after being cut by the Seattle Seahawks. A former Tennessee Titans third-round draft pick from Oklahoma in 2005, Jones has also played for the San Francisco 49ers.

The 6-foot-1, 212-pounder was signed to a five-year, $16.5 million contract by the 49ers that included $5.4 million in guaranteed money, but was cut last August by San Francisco before signing with the Seahawks.

He has 113 career receptions for 1,398 yards and nine touchdowns.

He caught a career-high 41 passes for 449 yards and one touchdown in 2007 with Tennessee. Jones played collegiality with former Ravens wide receiver Mark Clayton, their first-round draft pick in 2005.
