BALTIMORE — The Ravens survived a late attempt from the Browns to send Thursday night's game to overtime, edging their divisional foe 23-16.
A late unnecessary roughness penalty from Ravens linebacker Paul Kruger gave the Browns one more chance after failing to convert a fourth down attempt from Baltimore's 33. Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden's last pass with two seconds to go sailed out of the end zone.
Cary Williams recorded his first interception of his career, taking it back 63 yards for a touchdown near the end of the third quarter. The score gave Baltimore a 23-10 cushion at the time.
Quarterback Joe Flacco finished the game 28-46 for 356 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Anquan Boldin led the team in receiving with nine catches for 131 yards.
