"It was good," Hampton says of his visit to Auburn. "I got to spend some time with the coaches. I got to go around and see all the facilities. That's was real good. I enjoyed it. It was a really nice visit.
"It was nice," he adds. "Every college is going to always have top-notch things but I really enjoyed it. It was real nice. The coaches were real nice. The facilities were great. I got a nice tour guide so everything was really good."
"He seems like a good guy," Hampton says. "I like him. He's really down-to-earth. He's a down-South guy. He knows the Mississippi area. It was really good spending time with him and learning about the DB's he's brought up. It was pretty cool."
Still committed to Ole Miss, Hampton says the Tigers are in his top two or three at the moment along with Stanford. Recently adding an offer from Tennessee as well, the athletic defensive back says Auburn is recruiting him at the "star" position or as a safety. Adding that he may take an official visit to Auburn in the fall, Hampton notes that right now he's solid to the Rebels but owes it to himself to check out the possibilities.
"This is a once in a lifetime chance," Hampton says. "People are going to know Ole Miss is still in my number one, but this recruiting process is really about going out and seeing what's what, enjoying it. At the same time, everybody knows where my hearts at right now. We'll see how that goes."
