Bryant McKinnie returned to practice Friday and opened the session up as the starting left tackle.
It didn't last long, however, as the heat got the best of him and forced him to sit out more than half of the time on the field.
Coach John Harbaugh said afterward that McKinnie will need to get used to the heat and trim his body so that he can withstand the elements that come with training camp.
