Ravens rally, defeat Falcons 27-23

The Ravens got a 77-yard touchdown from Joe Flacco to Torrey Smith during their 27-23 preseason victory Thursday night.

Asa Jackson returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, which turned out to be the game-winning points for Baltimore Thursday night.

The Ravens overcame a 16-point deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 27-23 in their second preseason game.

Down 23-7 in the fourth quarter, backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor found rookie receiver Aaron Mellette for a 40-yard touchdown. On Baltimore's ensuing possession, Taylor drove the Ravens down the field and found Tandon Doss for a 5-yard touchdown.

Doss' touchdown was his first catch of the preseason, and atoned from an earlier drop that was initially ruled a fumble before an official review overturned it.

Taylor finished the game 5-9 for 83 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

The first team offense struggled, even though Joe Flacco finished 7-9 for 118 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Flacco's numbers included a 77-yard catch and run from receiver Torrey Smith, who turned on the jets and sped past the Atlanta secondary on a quick slant.

Smith finished with 85 yards and the touchdown.
