Dew-Treadway commits to Notre Dame
Notre Dame received its 10th commitment in the 2015 class when three-star defensive lineman Micah Dew-Treadway committed to Notre Dame following his visit to campus on Wednesday. While on his visit, Dew-Treadway tweeted, "ND IS AMAZING. GREAT TRADITION. SIMPLY UNMATCHED." The Bolingbrook (Ill.) High athlete committed to Notre Dame over offers from Connecticut, Indiana, Mississippi State, Purdue, Syracuse and Wisconsin. Last week Dew-Treadway visited Maryland, Virginia, Syracuse and Connecticut. When Notre Dame offered Dew-Treadway on May 29, he immediately placed the Irish at the top, telling Irisheyes.com: "I grew up liking Notre Dame. Notre Dame academics - can't beat it. Notre Dame football - can't beat it. And, they have great coaches." The 6-foot-4, 273-pound lineman committed to Notre Dame as a versatile future member of the defensive line, but he sees himself ending up as a three-technique. "They are recruiting me for end or tackle, but they said when they get me to the weight they want me up to, I will play tackle," Dew-Treadway said. Dew-Treadway is a three-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 34 defensive end in the class of 2015.
