Rice, Smith injured in Ravens-Cowboys game

The Ravens defeated the Cowboys 37-30 but suffered two injuries to Ray Rice and Jimmy Smith.

Though the Ravens were able to get their second preseason win over the Cowboys 37-30, they suffered two injuries to key players.

Running back Ray Rice sustained a shoulder injury and cornerback Jimmy Smith injured his chest. X-rays were negative for both.

Both injuries aren't expected to keep the players out for too long.

Smith, however, also hit his head on the field during the play he was injured. No head injury was ever announced by the club, though.

The Ravens can't afford to have any more injuries at cornerback. They're already dealing with issues to Lardarius Webb (back) and Asa Jackson (ankle).
