Ravens blow out Panthers 38-10

The Ravens got a blowout win over the Panthers, 38-10, on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.

Joe Flacco had one of the best days of his career, completing 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards and three touchdowns in Baltimore's 38-10 rout over Carolina.

Yet his performance is the side story. The stellar outing everyone will be talking about this week came from Flacco's top target, 35-year-old receiver Steve Smith. Smith promised "blood and guts" to his former team, the Panthers, and delivered, totaling seven catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

His first score came from being in the right place at the right time, catching a tipped ball from tight end Owen Daniels. The deflection almost seemed scripted, with Smith running to the ball in stride and taking it 61 yards to the end zone.

That was Baltimore's first of five touchdowns of the day.

After throwing a second touchdown pass to the former Panther, Flacco found Torrey Smith for a 21-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

The Ravens got rushing touchdowns from Justin Forsett (14 carries, 66 yards) and Lorenzo Taliaferro (15 carries, 58 yards).
