The Baltimore Ravens jumped out to another big lead and never looked back, this time defeating the Atlanta Falcons 29-7 on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
The defense rattled Atlanta all game, totaling five sacksin the win. Pernell McPhee and Elvis Dumervil recorded two apiece, with Terrell Suggs notching one that went for a safety late in the game. The Falcons were unable to score until the fourth quarter, which came on a touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Roddy White.
The Ravens were also able to hold Ryan to just 228 passing yards and the rushing offense to only 68 yards on the ground.
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco finished his day 16-of-25 for 258 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. His scores were thrown to Owen Daniels and Torrey Smith.
After stopping the Falcons on their first possession of the game, Flacco drove the Ravens down the field and threw his first touchdown to Daniels to put the Ravens up 7-0. From there, the rout was on.
The Ravens will travel to Cincinnati for a rematch game against the Bengals next week.
