Ravens defeat Saints 34-27

The Ravens traveled to New Orleans and escaped with a 34-27 win over the Saints.

The Ravens got a 34-27 road win against the Saints, thanks to some great games from quarterback Joe Flacco and running back Justin Forsett.

Forsett ran the ball 22 times for 182 yards and scored two touchdowns in the win. His fourth-quarter touchdown helped put the Ravens up by 14, though the Saints scored a late touchdown on a pass from quarterback Drew Brees to tight end Jimmy Graham.

Flacco completed 18 of 24 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. Though his stats don't indicate a huge game, Flacco had a great game commanding the offense. He threw an early touchdown to receiver Steve Smith, who somehow came down with a jump ball to put the Ravens on the board in the first quarter.

The Saints took a 17-14 lead at halftime, though the Ravens answered early in the third quarter with a 31-yard field goal from kicker Justin Tucker.

Later in the quarter, Brees threw a poorly-thrown ball under pressure and safety Will Hill took it 44 yards the other way for a touchdown.

The Ravens will host the Chargers next week.
