Ravens fall to Patriots in Divisional Round

The Ravens lost to the Patriots 35-31 on Saturday, ending their 2014 season.

The Ravens 2014 season came to an end after coming up short against the New England Patriots on Saturday in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.

New England rallied from two separate 14-point deficits to defeat Baltimore 35-31, thanks to Tom Brady's 367 yards and three touchdowns. They also got a big boost in the third quarter when receiver Julian Edelman threw a 51-yard pass to fellow receiver Danny Amendola for a touchdown on a trick play.

The Ravens got out to an early 14-0 lead and then led 28-14 early in the third quarter. However, the Patriots took their first lead of the game in the fourth quarter after Brady found Brandon LaFell for a 23-yard touchdown to go up 35-31.

Joe Flacco would drive the Ravens down the field but threw an interception in the end zone. After three kneel-downs and a punt, the Ravens had one last chance from midfield with four seconds left but were unable to complete what would have been a miracle play.

Flacco finished the game 28-45 for 292 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Ravens running back Justin Forsett ran for 129 yards on 24 carries and had two catches for 17 yards and a touchdown.
