When the Ravens have the football.
Watch the Ravens attempt to cut off massive defensive tackles Marcus Stroud and John Henderson with misdirection and counters. It's also a prime opportunity to expose a soft linebackers corps. The Ravens have the heaviest offensive line in football and an overpowering running game with league leader Jamal Lewis.
RG Bennie Anderson vs. LT Marcus Stroud
Battle of the heavyweights as 6-foot-5, 345-pound Anderson grapples with the 6-foot-6, 312-pound Stroud.
When the Jaguars have the football
Jacksonville will attempt to establish Fred Taylor on the ground and target receiver Jimmy Smith, traditionally a thorn in the Ravens' underbelly, downfield. The Jaguars use a lot of shotgun formations to give Byron Leftwich more time to throw. He's fairly immobile, but puts a lot of velocity on the football.
CB Chris McAlister vs WR Jimmy Smith
Since serving his four-game drug suspension, Smith has 17 receptions. McAlister is showing signs of deserving his franchise player status with two interceptions of Cardinals' Jeff Blake and limiting Peter Warrick and Rod Smith's production.
