Ray Lewis to have shoulder examined

OWINGS MILLS -- Baltimore Ravens trainer Bill Tessendorf said Ray Lewis' right shoulder will be reexamined when he returns from the Pro Bowl. Lewis required a shoulder harness for the final month of the season.

Tessendorf said cornerback Gary Baxter is scheduled to have his abdominal hernia scoped on Feb. 17.
Ravens coach Brian
Billick said that O.J. Brigance, a special-teams ace on the Ravens' Super Bowl squad, is an ideal fit to fill the director of player development job that became vacant when Earnest Byner left to become the Washington Redskins' running backs coach.
