Position: Wide receiver
Size: 5-foot-11, 195 pounds
Hometown, Trenton, N.J.
Resume: Cut by the Cleveland Browns last season after conflicts with organization and claimed by Jacksonville off waivers. Criticized by Browns for alleged selfishness, unwillingness to block and not accepting a benching. "It appeared that he lost any incentive to compete and participate as a member of the team if he couldn't be the starter," Browns president Carmen Policy said of Johnson, who counts $2.1 million against Browns' 2004 salary cap. "I think he used the words, ‘I, me and my,' 30 times in that article. He used the word ‘we' once. It sent a bad vibe to me. It was all about his stats and what he did and how he did it. I think it was an indication of why the coaches were so frustrated." Browns' all-time leading receiver has career totals of 332 catches, 4,089 yards and 24 touchdowns. Last year: 58 receptions, 634 yards and three scores. In 2001, he caught 84 passes for 1,097 yards and nine scores. Recruited as a quarterback, drafted by Browns in second round in 1999. Named to college's all-century team.
