40 Nick Eller 
Ht: 6-3 Wt: 262 Age: 23 
Year: Rookie 
College Eastern Illinois 
Acquired: Free agent, 2004 
Resume: Caught 104 passes for 1,160 yards and nine touchdowns in two season. Third-team All-American as a junior with 57 catches for 721 yards and seven touchdowns. 
Outlook: Former University of Iowa student was solid during minicamps. Will need to do even more to contend for a roster spot. 

41 Brett Pierce 
Ht: 6-5 Wt: 250 Age: 23 
Year: Rookie 
College: Stanford 
Acquired: Free agent, 2004 
Resume: Caught 38 passes for 391 yards and three touchdowns in three seasons. 
Outlook: Excelled during minicamps with a series of acrobatic catches.

44 Daniel Wilcox
Ht: 6-1 Wt: 245 Age: 25
Year: 2
College: Appalachian State
Acquired: Free agent, 2004
Resume: Had a prior stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Outlook: Could receive increased repetitions while Trent Smith eases back into full-contact work.

82 Terry Jones
Ht: 6-3 Wt: 265 Age: 24
Year: 3
College: Alabama
Acquired: Fifth round, 2002
Resume: Blocking tight end started 13 games and caught a career-high 19 passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns. In two seasons, Jones has started 19 games and has 30 receptions for 265 yards and four touchdowns. Caught two passes for 16 yards in playoff loss to Tennessee.
Outlook: Represents a sharp contrast to Pro Bowl tight end Todd Heap in terms of playing style, but bullish tight end is an underrated downfield target.

88 Trent Smith
Ht: 6-5 Wt: 245 Age: 24
Year: 2
College: Oklahoma
Acquired: Seventh round, 2003
Resume: Missed the entire season due to a broken leg suffered during preseason contest last August. Underwent surgery and still has a metal rod in his leg. Caught 154 passes for 1,445 yards and 16 touchdowns in college. 
Outlook: Similar in style to Todd Heap, but hasn't fully recovered from leg injury and will be eased into contact work.

86 Todd Heap
Ht: 6-5 Wt: 252 Age: 24
Year: 4
College: Arizona State
Acquired: First round, 2003
Resume: Two-time Pro Bowl choice caught a team-high 57 passes for 693 yards along with three touchdowns. Since being drafted to succeed Shannon Sharpe in 2001, Heap has 141 receptions for 1,735 yards and seven touchdowns. Caught six passes for 80 yards and a score in playoff loss to Tennessee.
Outlook: Heap remains the focal point of the Ravens' low-key passing game and is regarded as one of the league's most dangerous tight ends.
