Inside Ravens Training Camp - Wednesday

Our daily crib notes from Ravens' training camp. Only a couple more days remain in Westminster for the team's 2005 camp which breaks on 8/19.

WHO'S HOT: Samari Rolle intercepted a Kyle Boller pass, lateraled it to Deion Sanders, who flipped it to Ray Lewis in the Ravens' version of the Cal-Stanford game.

Clarence Moore caught a bomb from Boller for a touchdown.

Mark Estelle, a former CFL player, intercepted two passes, including one from Boller.

Rob Abiamiri caught a touchdown pass one day after demonstrating shaky hands.

WHO'S NOT: Randy Hymes' dropped pass was deflected to Jarvis Johnson for an interception.

Adam Terry didn't get low enough in his blocking stance and was run over by Rod Green.

Boller threw a couple of interceptions, hanging his head in disgust after Estelle picked him off. He also dropped a snap.

NEWSFLASH: The Ravens worked out four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Peter Boulware, whom the team released as a $6 million salary-cap casualty this spring after he declined to take a pay cut. Boulware, who missed all of last season with knee and toe injuries, impressed team officials. It's unclear when he might be signed by the team as they'll have to negotiate a new contract and medical concerns remain about Boulware's durability.

ON THE FIELD: Jamal Lewis' stride appears improved each day and there's a strong possibility he will make his preseason debut Saturday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The field goal team got on the field in time and Matt Stover knocked it through the uprights in the two-minute drill.

Walter Curry sacked the quarterback even while being tackled by Terry.

OFF THE FIELD: Despite a large, 'No Pushing' sign in the autograph area, people were jostled around and campus security had to intervene.

Defensive coordinator Rex Ryan is hosting 25 Special Olympics athletes from around the state Thursday at training camp. He is their honorary coach.

The Princeton football team's coaching staff attended practice. Governor Robert Ehrlich played linebacker for the Ivy League school.

BEARD WATCH: In my daily observation on Ravens head coach Brian Billick's new-look, gray beard, it sparks comparisons to actor Jeff Bridges' portrayal of the hippie character known as 'The Dude,' from the movie, "The Big Lebowski." The Dude, A.K.A. Jeffrey Lebowski, would likely approve wholeheartedly of the Ravens' laid-back training camp atmosphere.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I was hungry, man. That was not supposed to be seen. I was being very discreet. My game was over and I hadn't eaten since 3 o'clock. I hope Baltimore forgives me for taking a little break during the game." Stover after being shown on television chowing down on a hot dog on the sidelines during a loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

THURSDAY'S SCHEDULE: 2 to 4 p.m., special teams starts at 1:30 p.m.
