Aaron Wilson Joins Raven Insider.

We are happy to announce that Aaron Wilson, sports writer for the Carroll County Times has joined Ravens Insider and will provide exclusive coverage of the Baltimore Ravens for our site.
This is a very exciting happening. It has taken a while to find someone in the media who 'fits' as well as Aaron and we are confident that his access to the team and his writing ability will help him to be welcomed wholeheartedly into the Raven Insider fold. (More)

Aaron currently covers the Ravens and a variety of other sports in the metropolitan area for the Carroll County Times of Westminster, where the Ravens holds their annual training camp at McDaniel College. He also co-hosts a Saturday Ravens talk show on WNST 1570 along with Fox-45 anchor Bruce Cunningham from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every week. He is also an occasional guest analyst on Bruce's sportscasts at FOX.

He has won many journalism awards: This spring, Aaron won Best Sports Column and Best Sports Writing Daily in a Landmark News Service contest judged by editors from the Virginian Pilot (Va.). Prior to joining the Times before the 2001 NFL Draft, Aaron covered the Tennessee Titans for two seasons for the Clarkville Leaf-Chronicle (Tenn.), a Gannett newspaper where he won Best Sports Feature as awarded by the Tennessee Association of Managing Editors. He covered the Titans' Super Bowl loss to the St. Louis Rams, the "Music City Miracle" playoff win over the Buffalo Bills as well as the Ravens' momentous win in Nashville in the 2001 AFC Divisional playoffs on the road to the Super Bowl championship.

Before coming to Tennessee, Aaron covered the Jacksonville Jaguars and Florida Gators for the St. Augustine Record (Fla.), and was a correspondent for USA Today's Web site. Aaron is a member of the Pro Football Writers Association and lives in Reisterstown, a Johnny Unitas spiral away from the Ravens' training complex in Owings Mills.

Aaron will be providing stories and articles for the site on a daily basis. During training camp he will be reporting from camp twice per day. In addition, every Tuesday at 9.00PM we will host a moderated chat in the chat room and Aaron will also answer questions in a forum on the message board.

This is a great achievement for this site and will no doubt move us forward in our goal to becoming the #1 Internet portal for Ravens news and information.

I would ask that we all extend a hearty welcome to Aaron Wilson, Raven Insider Sports Writer.
