R. Lewis has minor back surgery

OWINGS MILLS -- Baltimore Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis has undergone back surgery to drain a pool of blood from his severely bruised back. Lewis hasn't been officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. He injured his back against the Cincinnati Bengals when he collided with teammate Ed Reed on Nov. 5. Lewis will still be listed as questionable on the injury report.

The seven-time All-Pro didn't practice again Thursday and hasn't practiced since hurting his back against Cincinnati. He sat out the Ravens' 27-26 win over the Tennessee Titans.
