Ravens sign Gregg to $20.3 million deal
Although undersized at barely 6-foot and 310 pounds, Gregg excels because of his technique, toughness and outstanding leverage as a former heavyweight champion wrestler. He can bench press over 500 pounds. Gregg, who finished fourth on the defense last season with 104 tackles along with three and 1/2 sacks, has more tackles over the past five seasons than any NFL interior lineman. Gregg, who was recommended to Baltimore by Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, his former defensive coordinator at the University of Oklahoma, has been with the team since 2001. Aaron Wilson covers the Baltimore Ravens for the Carroll County Times in Westminster, Maryland.
