Ravens sign Barnes

OWINGS MILLS -- The Baltimore Ravens have officially signed rookie outside linebacker Antwan Barnes to a three-year contract, leaving the team with five remaining draft picks to negotiate with before training camp. The fourth-round draft pick from Florida International reached an agreement in principle Wednesday.

The 134th overall pick of the draft, Barnes' contract has a total worth of $1.4 million with base salaries of $285,000, $370,000 and $460,000 and a $287,000 signing bonus.

Barnes is Florida International's all-time sack leader with 23. A two-time All Sun Belt Conference selection, Barnes played in 45 career games, starting 38 and totaled 224 tackles.

Barnes blocked three kicks and forced six fumbles, returning two interceptions for touchdowns.

He's projected as a potential situational pass rusher along with a special-teams role.
