Greisen makes it official

OWINGS MILLS -- Baltimore Ravens backup middle linebacker Nick Greisen officially signed his three-year, $4 million contract, a deal he agreed to in principle nearly two weeks ago. His contract includes a $1 million signing bonus.

Greisen visited the Seattle Seahawks and the Cleveland Browns during the free agency signing period, but remained in touch with Ravens team officials, including defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.

Greisen started two games last season, recording 38 tackles as Ray Lewis' primary backup. He also registered 13 special-teams tackles to rank fifth on the team.

In 84 career games and 33 starts, Greisen has 275 tackles, six fumble recoveries, four sacks, four forced fumbles and 51 special-teams tackles.
