Baltimore Ravens' quarterback watch

WESTMINSTER -- Ravens Insider's final training camp report on the Ravens' quarterback competition between Kyle Boller, Troy Smith and Joe Flacco.

Kyle Boller

Positives: Delivered a 35-yard touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Marcus Smith on a post pattern despite absorbing a hit from linebacker Antwan Barnes.

Negatives: Errant on a throw in cornerback Corey Ivy's territory as he secured a leaping interception. Needs to be more decisive in the pocket.

Stock: Up overall as he has been the most consistent candidate under center during camp.

Troy Smith

Positives: More composed than earlier this week. Authoritative in the pocket. Had decent velocity and command.

Negatives: Intercepted by rookie safety Haruki Nakamura, who returned the turnover for a touchdown. Had two passes batted down and would have been sacked twice if this had been a live situation.

Stock: Neutral overall, but definitely hasn't outperformed Kyle Boller as he tries to win the job.

Joe Flacco

Positives: He was the only quarterback to pick up a first down in a three-snap drill. He led a drive with five first downs to position Matt Stover for a 42-yard field goal.

Negatives: Still needs to improve his consistency. Needs to understand that he doesn't have much time to release the football and must make quicker decisions.

Stock: Tilting slightly upward.
