Defensive line: B
They stonewalled the Chargers' running game without star runner LaDainian Tomlinson and Pro Bowl center Nick Hardwick, limiting them to 53 yards on the ground on 21 carries. Philip Rivers was sacked twice, but usually had too much time.

Linebacker: B-plus
Middle linebacker Ray Lewis' game-preserving tackle on Darren Sproles for a loss of five yards on fourth down on the Ravens' 15-yard line was the play of the game. Terrell Suggs registered five tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and two tackles for losses, but lost containment on Darren Sproles' 81 -yard touchdown catch on a swing pass.

Secondary: D
They were shredded by Philip Rivers for 436 passing yards as he completed 25 of 45 passes for two touchdowns and two interceptions. Far too many big plays were surrendered to Vincent Jackson (six catches 141 yards, one touchdown), Antonio Gates (five catches, 78 yards) and Malcom Floyd (45-yard catch). They bent, but ultimately they didn't break. Dawan Landry intercepted his first pass since his rookie season.
