CB Corey Fuller Corner or safety? 03/12/03 1:05am ET

The Ravens signed their first free agent but are undecided where defensive back Corey Fuller will play. The team is leaning toward keeping Gary Baxter at cornerback, which means Fuller would have to shift from cornerback to free safety. Of his eight seasons in the league, he played only one -- 1999 with the Browns -- at safety. There is also a chance that Fuller, who signed a three-year, $4.5 million contract which included a $1.5 million signing bonus, could stay at cornerback if the team feels Baxter is better suited at safety. "I think I still have some corner in me," said Fuller, who turns 32 in May. "But I'll do what is best for the team. It's not a big thing."

DL Riddick Parker Re-signs with Baltimore 03/11/03 1:31pm ET

Riddick Parker has told Byner's Insiders, that he finalized paper work on a one-year contract with the Ravens on Monday. The 30 year-old Parker, a 6'3 295 defensive end, signed with the Ravens early last season and impressed coaches with his ability to fit into the Ravens rotation and provide some pass rush.

OT Ethan Brooks Agrees to 2 year deal to stay with Ravens 03/11/03 1:23pm ET

As first reported by Byner's Insiders, the Ravens have reached an agreement with Ethan Brooks on a two year contract. Brooks, who started 13 games for the Ravens at right tackle in 2002, could end up being the starter again in 2003. "It's Ethan's job to lose," Robert McManus, Brooks' agent, told Byner's Insiders' Aaron Wilson, "He has enormous skill level. He has to play up to that skill level." Still, the Ravens are talking with former Raven Orlando "Zeus" Brown about returning to the Ravens, and if signed, he would likely at least compete for the starting job.

MLB Ray Lewis Dials up Stewart 03/10/03 3:49am ET

Although the Ravens still haven't yet been able to set up a visit for Kordell Stewart, the team is already in recruitment mode, as, according to Stewart's agent, all-pro linebacker Ray Lewis has called the former Steeler and talked to Stewart about replacing Jeff Blake as the quarterback of the Ravens.
