Q: How good is to be reunited with Spurrier?
A: It's like it was meant to be. I always dreamed of playing for Coach Spurrier again. I'm looking forward to making big things happen.
Q: Was it a good news, bad news kind of thing? You're back with Spurrier, but you weren't picked in the first round.
A: Yeah, I would never have thought that this would happen. I went lower than I thought, but everything happens for a reason.
Q: Did you try to figure out why you dropped?
A: I tried to, but obviously the NFL knew something I didn't know. I didn't know what was going on.
Q: Where did you think you'd go?
A: I was told I'd go in the top 20, some said top 15 and some even said in the top 10. I didn't know which team it would be. I kept an open mind. Jabbar last year played in front of me and I thought he'd go in the top 5 and he didn't go until the second round.
Q: What did you think when you heard Spurrier's voice?
A: It sounded like someone was ringing a bell in my head like, 'You're still alive, still kicking.' I felt like I was coming back home.
Q: As the Redskins got closer to their pick, how much were you hoping that's where you'd go?
A: I was sitting in the chair with my head down saying, 'Please, Lord, let 'em get me.' It felt good just to get off the board.
Q: Do you think you can come in and play right away?
A: I'm not the one to make that decision. I do have the ability to come in and make things happen. I'll just try my best.
Q: Do you feel pressure to succeed here because of what happened with the ex-Gators here last year?
A: That's one thing I stay away from, thinking about what happened to someone else in the past. I'm my own person. There's no pressure on me.
Q: Did you miss Spurrier last year?
A: For any receiver or quarterback, it was like heaven playing for him. You run around and you know he'll take chances to let you make big plays. Yeah, I did miss it.
