Training Camp at Redskins Park

The Washington Redskins return home to Redskins Park for Training Camp this year, to begin final preparation for the 2003 NFL season. Fans of all ages are invited to the team's year-round training facility in Ashburn, Virginia, to see their favorite players and help support the team leading into the preseason.

Fans are encouraged to bring their Training Camp Fan Invitation to gain admission to Redskins Park for practice sessions. The Fan Invitation is available on www.redskins.com, or at Official Redskins Retail Stores. Fans can also contact the Redskins ticket office at 301-276-6050 to have a Fan Invitation faxed. The Training Camp Fan Invitations help the Redskins gauge how many visitors are attending practice each day. The Fan Invitation will be collected upon arrival at Redskins Park, and qualify fans for special prizes. There is no cost for fans to attend Training Camp.

All players report on Sunday, July 27, and the first practice of 2003 Training Camp will be held Monday morning, July 28. All outdoor practices at Redskins Park are open to the public free of charge for the duration of camp. Fans can check the daily schedule of practice times by logging onto the official team website, www.redskins.com , or calling the Training Camp Fan Hotline, 703-726-7411 (beginning Monday, July 21). The hotline and website will feature updated practice information, as well as directions to Redskins Park in Ashburn.

The Redskins will host Fan Appreciation Day on the first Saturday of Training Camp, August 2. Scheduled events include performances by the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders and the Marching Band before the afternoon practice, as well as a player autograph session at the conclusion of practice. On that Saturday, there will be a special giveaway to fans 12-and-under. Fan Appreciation Day festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. A more detailed schedule for Fan Appreciation Day will be made available at the beginning of Training Camp.

The team will break camp on Friday, August 15, the day before the Redskins host their first home preseason game versus the New England Patriots. The game at FedEx Field is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, with kickoff at 8:00 p.m.
