The Redskins signed two defensive ends, bulking up at a position where they're not sure about one of their players, veteran Bruce Smith. The Redskins hope he'll play against San Diego on Sunday, but won't know for sure until they see how his shoulder responds in practice.

The Redskins cut DE Derrick Ham and DT Mario Monds to make room.
