Cowboys QB Tony Romo breaks clavicle

Another major injury strikes the Dallas Cowboys.

The Washington Redskins won't face the Dallas Cowboys this season until Week 13. By then the Cowboys might, might have their optimal lineup intact. As for the weeks in between, not so much.

Quarterback Tony Romo suffered a fractured left clavicle during the Cowboys game against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, the team announced during the late afternoon tilt.

Dallas is already without Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant, who coud miss as much as 12 weeks according to recent updates. Romo might not be out that long, but he'll be watching for a bit.

Whether that snap evaluation is spot on or not, the Cowboys must move on with journeyman backup Brandon Weeden. At least they opened the season with a win, which is at least more than others in the NFC East. Combined with other chaos in the division, the race is suddenly not as expected.
