Redskins: Pot Roast cooked for Week 9

Add another big name to the Redskins injury list heading into Sunday's game at New England.

Beating the Patriots in New England was going to be hard enough for the Redskins. Now the challenge becomes even bigger because a true big man won't suit up.

The Redskins announced nose tackle Terrance Knighton did not travel with the team to New England and therefore will not play Sunday due to migraine headaches.

The nose tackle did not appear on Friday's injury report (see below). He addressed the situation on Twitter Saturday afternoon.

Even with Knighton in the lineup, the Redskins allowed at least 175 rushing yards in each of their last three games. Now they face the possibility of getting carved up by New England running backs Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount without "Pot Roast."

Kedric Golston and Chris Baker are the likely candidates to play inside.

Washington also promoted linebacker Houston Bates from the practice squad.
