Redskins defense takes another hit with Perry Riley out 3-6 weeks

Already missing key pieces on defense, the Redskins learn linebacker Perry Riley will miss several weeks with a foot injury.

Another week, another player lost to injury. Another inside linebacker in fact. Specifically, veteran Perry Riley, Redskins coach Jay Gruden announced Friday.

Riley suffered the injury during Thusday practice as Washington preps for the Monday night matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Keenan Robinson continues dealing with an injured shouder that kept him off the field the last two weeks. Even if he can somehow go Monday, it mght be not a one-for-oen swap with Riley.

Mason Foster would start next to Will Compton.

As for the overall injury situation...

The one to watch is Carrier (Achilles/ankle). Sounds like he could it out, which means Je'Ron Hamm serves as the second tight end behind Jordan Reed.
