Robert Griffin III says goodbye to fans, former Redskins teammates

Quarterback Robert Griffin III took to social media to say his final goodbyes to Redskins fans and former teammates.

Robert Griffin III waited until his inevitable departure from Washington became official Monday morning to deliver his farewell message to the Redskins organization and its fans on Twitter and Facebook.

Griffin sounds upbeat about the road away from Washington, which undoubtedly holds a greater chance for him to get the playing time that he wants, and many feel the 2012 NFL Rookie of the Year deserves.

It’s also worth noting that RG3 is a part of the majority--the majority, of course, being people who love chocolate chip cookies and smiles, as evidenced by his shout out to “front desk extraordinaire B.J. Blanchard.”
