Even though Robert Griffin III is no longer with the team in Ashburn, his future remains a prominent part of the present talk in Washington. Not many starting jobs remain. One is with the Los Angeles Rams. Apparently, Griffin is interested.
Yes, we'd come full circle if RG3 ended up with the Rams seeing as the franchise traded the pick that became Griffin to Washington ahead of the 2012 NFL Draft for a bevy of picks. Even though the Rams ended up with some starters and quality help from that deal, they haven't turned the corner overall. Adding running back Todd Gurley last season helps and his presence would help Griffin. The lack of playmaking receivers will not.
Los Angeles ended last season with a mess at quarterback, highlighted by Nick Foles, now a free agent. Coach Jeff Fisher had success with mobile quarterback Steve McNair in Tennessee.
Washington released Griffin Monday after four seasons. The 2012 NFL rookie of the year did not play a snap in 2015.
The Denver Broncos are also reportedly in play for Griffin after losing Brock Osweiler to the Texans and Peyton Manning to retirement.
