'Mounting buzz' Browns add Robert Griffin III

We may be close to Robert Griffin III finding a new home and doing so with a team his ex-team plays next season.

We've now gone from quarterback Robert Griffin III meeting with the Browns to Cleveland reportedly moving toward adding the ex-Redskin.

This follows comments by new Cleveland head coach Hue Jackson about his thoughts on Griffin following the recent meeting.

“We are going through our process,” Jackson told the NFL Network from the NFL owner’s meetings in Florida. “We are going to be very diligent in what we are doing -- trying to make sure that we put the right quarterbacks on our football team and in that quarterback room. And that's one of my biggest responsibilities and also one of our organization's biggest responsibilities."

"It was a great meeting,” Jackson said “I think he's obviously a tremendous talent and a great young man. He had a lot of success early in Washington and then things just didn't work out. Those things happen in the National Football League.”

The Browns have the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and could easily take a QB with that selection and do so whether they added Griffin or not.

Here's what we know for sure: Cleveland and Washington play next season at FedEx Field. Yeah, that would be a hot ticket.
