Wizards podcast: Culture concerns, John Wall's role in the no-playoffs season

Ben Standig breaks down what went wrong for the Wizards this season with the ESPN 980 crew and Comcast SportsNet's Chris Miller.

As you know, this isn't a website about the Washington Wizards and the NBA, but hopefully you will allow me this indulgence. As some of you may know I also cover the Wizards elsewhere and am part of the "2-point lead" podcast with ESPN 980's Scott Jackson and Nick Ashooh. This week's show with guest Chris Miller (Comcast SportsNet) touched on several aspects of Washington's disappointing season including topics making news today:

* How much did the organizational culture factor into the non-playoff season?

* John Wall was indeed worthy of another All-Star nod, but does he deserve ample heat for the final season?

* Which of the potential nine free agents -- not counting Bradley Beal -- should return? Ramon Sessions? Garrett Temple? Nene?

* Now that the season is done, did it make sense for the Wizards to actually trade up and then draft Kelly Oubre Jr.?

Give a listen. Everyone went strong to the mic. Lots to ponder entering a significant off-season.
