In the beginning of March, Alfred Morris took the time to thank the Washington Redskins with the "unknown" of free agency approaching. A few weeks later and almost exactly one month ago, Morris joined the archival Dallas Cowboys in a move that soured some Burgundy and Gold supporters.
After a hiatus from social media, fearing the backlash of Redskins fans, Morris took to Twitter last night.
Morris could be alluding to his own wave of emotions of not knowing where the next paycheck is coming from as well as hearing hate from fans of his former franchise. Either way the deep tweets continued.
The former sixth-round pick thanked the part of Redskins nation that continued to show him love even after his departure for the hated division rival.
Even with being a member of the Dallas Cowboy, Morris kindly gave one last shout out of Hail to the Redskins.
Former teammate and Redskins leader DeAngelo Hall chimed in that he would love to see Morris succeed in every game of the season except the two times the Cowboys play the Redskins.
Whether you like him now or not, Morris was just as an important factor in bringing home a division title in 2012 as Robert Griffin III.
