The five-year, $75 million contract terms for Josh Norman aren't the real details fans must know about the new Redskins CB deal.

Sophisticated NFL fans know that when a free agent signing is announced, ignore the initial contract terms. As is the case with @josh norman's five-year, $75 million contract with the Washington Redskins, those numbers are for the headline. The real details come later.

All of this essentially means that the Redskins won't be hamstrung by Norman's contract should they want to part ways following the 2017-18 season. Norman will be 30 by that point.
