Rookie matchups: Are the Browns making Scot McCloughan jealous?

Scot McCloughan is probably jealous of the Cleveland Brown's league leading 14 selections in the 2016 NFL Draft, especially because they have some big impact talents.

The NFL Draft is over and the work to get all the rookies ready for the NFL begins. For the Washington Redskins, that means first-round pick Josh Doctson and six others selected in the 2016 draft. The same scenario exists for the other 31 NFL teams, of which the Redskins will face 13, including each NFC East rival twice. Let's begin taking a look at the interesting matchups and scenarios involving the new guys.

Who: Cleveland Browns

When: Week 4: Sunday, October 2 at 1 p.m. on CBS

Where: FedExField

Interesting rookies:

* 1st round -- Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor

* 1st round -- Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State

* 7th round -- Philip "Scooby" Wright, LB, Arizona

Major matchup: Robert Griffin III's return to FedExField in early October is going to be the big story leading up to kickoff. Assuming Griffin does indeed win the starting job, he might feel right at home throwing to Coleman, a fellow Baylor Bear. Coleman might not have been the best receiver on Washington's board according to Scot McCloughan, but there is no questioning his deep-threat ability; Griffin cannot overthrow even him with his cannon of an arm. Expect both Josh Norman and Bashaud Breeland to get cracks at keeping Coleman in front of them.

Keep an eye on: Cleveland felt highly enough about Ogbah to trade back into the first round to grab the defensive end that many think resembles Washington's own Preston Smith. He is big and powerful and when he plays angry and hard, he might give Trent Williams a run for his money time and again should he line up on the left side. The Browns may be the laughingstock of the league, but they are going to put some serious young talent on the field this year.

Don't forget: When you think about top-five talents dropping in the draft, Jaylon Smith and Myles Jack come to mind, but the third linebacker in that group should be Wright. Injuries derailed his promising college career at Arizona and might make him a seventh-round steal if he can stay healthy. Wright could win a starting job and prove to be an underrated cog in a stout defense that can make it difficult for the Redskins to run the ball.
