Oregon QB Vernon Adams part of Redskins rookie camp

The Redskins will have 33 tryout players participate in their rookie training camp, including a heralded Pac-12 quarterback.

The Redskins will have 33 tryout players participate in their three-day rookie minicamp, which began Friday. The most interesting of the lot, former Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams.

The former Eastern Washington standout replaced Marcus Mariota with the Ducks, throwing for 26 touchdown and six interceptions in his lone season. However, the 5-foot-11 QB went undrafted, a scenario that surprised some and highlighted concerns about his limited height. Adams recently worked out for the Seattle Seahawks.

The Redskins selected Nate Sudfeld in the sixth round with the idea of having the Indiana product groomed behind Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy.
