Maybe this one picture doesn't count for a 1,000 words, but it does alleviate some stress. After missing the first two weeks of Organized Team Activities, DeSean Jackson returned to Redskins Park Monday for the third session.
Jackson made a brief appearance earlier this offseason in Ashburn, but he was the only player not on hand the last two weeks for OTA sessions. His combined absences cost the wide receiver a $500,000 workout bonus.
"Yeah you know he has been here, he has popped in had a cup of coffee," head coach Jay Gruden said during the first OTA. "Last time I looked up the word voluntarily that is his [choice] and he has been in the league nine years I believe it is. He knows what type of shape he has to come in. Obviously, last year he pulled his hamstring and some people say it was because he was out of shape but he wasn’t really.
"He will be ready to go and probably show up next week or it could be whenever."
Turns out whenever is June 6. The media will be on hand Wednesday to cover practice. If Jackson is there, we'll ask him what's been happening.
