Report: Junior Galette suffers another season-ending Achilles tear

The pass rusher suffered the same injury for the second straight season.

You have got to be kidding.

Redskins pass rusher Junior Galette suffered a torn Achilles and will miss 2016 season, according to multiple reports and perhaps Galette himself.

As a reminder, Galette missed the 2015 season after tearing his Achilles in training camp last season. That's why there was so much interest in seeing the linebacker/end on the field in camp and this coming season paired with fellow edge rushers Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith.

Galette made a cryptic message on Twitter about this scenario not happening moments before the news broke.

The Redskins signed Galette to a team-friendly one-year contract this offseason with the hopes of getting a longer look at the 28-year-old. Instead, it's possible Galette never plays a single snap for Washington after tearing his right and left Achilles.

We'll learn more when coach Jay Gruden addresses the media Wednesday before camp officially opens Thursday. Breaking Burgundy will be on the scene for updates.
