RICHMOND -- “It’s the best group I’ve ever been around" is how DeAngelo Hall answered a question Monday about the Washington Redskins's secondary. Over the top? Eh, it's Hall's opinion, which is fine. The comment does highlight the potential with this group. One year after dealing with a patchwork unit, the Redskins are suddenly loaded at cornerback with Josh Norman, Bashaud Breeland, Quinton Dunbar, Kendall Fuller and Greg Toler. Now there is enhanced depth at safety, a long-standing position of weakness on the Redskins defense.
Most of all, it's another reminder about the change in confidence, attitude not just in the secondary, but throughout the roster.
